Cajamarca Culture

This culture existed during the years of 200 to 1300 after Christ. In 1948, researcher Henry Reichlen divided Cajamarca culture into five stages, based on the influence from Chavin culture to the Incas. The first phase of Cajamarca culture appeared during the Early Intermediate, located on Chondorko hill, near the Inca Baths in Cajamarca. It was a group of independent states, that maintained economic relations with neighboring cultures, as Lambayeque and Chimu. The next phases in the Cajamarca culture had influence from the Wari culture and the Incas.
